Albert Ruby

Albert John Ruby, 62 of Newton died May 27, 2013 at his residence. Born December 8, 1950 in Pennsylvania, he was the son of the late Albert Ernest Ruby and Clara Mary Trainor Ruby. Albert was a manager of Denny's in West Mifflin and Robbinson Township in PA. He worked at Wendy's on Springs Road for seven years and Applebee's in Hickory for nearly eight years. In addition to his wife, Susan Lynn Vandergrift Ruby of the home; five daughters, Jeanine Farmer of AR, Jessica Ruby of Winston Salem, NC, Chelsey Ruby of Newton, Elena Medina of Hudson, NC and Melanie White of Pittsburgh, PA; step daughter, Renee Powell of Connelly Springs, NC; three sons, Chad Ruby of Newton, Julio Medina of Pittsburgh, PA and Shawn Ruby of McKeesport, PA and eight grand-children, Stephen, Patrick, William, Nowlin, Bradley, Breanna and Mariah and Lauren; and two step grand-children, Robyn and J.J. survive him. A brother, Eugene Ruby preceded him in death. The family will gather privately at the funeral home Tuesday May 28, 2013 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
