Alice Rollins

Alice Faye Rollins, 56 of Picnic Drive, Newton died on Saturday, January 8, 2011 at Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte. Born March 16, 1954, she was the daughter of Benjamin Reuben Kendall & Dixie Henrietta Pinyan Kendall of Iron Station, NC. Alice Rollins was a mother, a daughter, and friend to all that knew her. She was a strong, independent woman who loved her family more than anything in the world. She never wasted an opportunity to make us smile, to make us laugh, and always letting us know how much she loved us. She never asked for anything but "Time". She will forever be in our hearts. We love you Mom! In addition to her parents, a daughter, Christina Rollins Morris of Lake Wylie, SC; a son, Tommy Ray Rollins II & wife Amy of Newton, NC; two sisters, Joyce Maxwell of Iron Station & Jennifer Kendall of Iron Station; two brothers, Danny Kendall & wife Maureen of Charlotte, NC & Timmy Kendall & wife Tammy of Charlotte; and five grand-children, Melissa Morris, Casey Morris, Jeffrey Morris, Emily Rollins & Sidney Rollins survive her. The funeral will be 3:30 p.m. Thursday, January 13, 2011 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 pm Thursday at the funeral home.
