Alvin Leroy Hall, 74, of Conover North Carolina passed away peacefully on May 20, 2020 at the Carolina Caring in Newton, NC surrounded by his family. He was born on June 12, 1945 to parents Lawrence and Louise Hall of Hickory. He attended St. Stephens High School in Hickory. Alvin served his country as a Sergeant in the United States Army in Vietnam. He received the Purple Heart, the Bronze Star, and the Good Conduct Medal during his honorable service. He married the love of his life Joanne Mays Hall November 28, 1963.
Alvin is survived by sister Joyce Fekete and husband Fred of Hickory, son Christopher Hall and wife Kimberly of Conover, daughter Cynthia Davis and husband Rodney of Conover. He is also survived by grandchildren Nathan Royston of Winston Salem, Ashley Hall of Austin, TX, Ethan Davis of Conover, Marshall Hall of Conover, Chloe Trantham of Conover, and Morgan Robbins of Conover.
Alvin is preceded in death by his beloved wife of 46 years Joanne Mays Hall and sisters Shirley Sigmon and Nina Saulnier.
Alvin enjoyed camping and fishing as well as spending time with his grandchildren. He will be remembered always for his sense of humor and willingness to help anyone in need.
A celebration of life service will be held at the home located at 1317 Elgin Drive, Conover, NC on Saturday May 30th at 2:00 pm.
