Arthur Davis

Arthur William-Joseph Davis 80, of Hickory went home to be with the Lord, Wednesday, November 8th, 2017 at his home. Born October 15th, 1937 he was the son of the late Cyril O.C. Davis and Loretta Benoit Davis. Arthur had a very gentle, loving, and kind spirit. He was an avid woodworker and a devout Christian. Arthur proudly served in the United States Navy Reserves for eight years. In addition to his wife of 21 years Barbara Davis of the home; two daughters Julie Gratton of Springfield, MO, Shelley Ware of Worcester, MA; a son Arthur C.W. Davis and wife Rhonda of Denver, CO; a sister Mary Brady and husband Frank of Conover; four step daughters Kathleen DeAsio and husband Gabe of New Jersey; Patricia Seto and husband Martin of Toronto, Jennifer Mahoney and husband Justin of Tampa, Fl, Laura Smith and husband Trent of Lexington; two step sons Randy Smaltz and wife Gabrielle of Raleigh, David Smaltz of Charlton, MA; four grandchildren Alisha, Melanie, Zakkary, Devin; ten step grandchildren Ben, Katrina, Jacob, Alex, Brooke, Joshua, Hannah, Elizabeth, Thomas, Sophia, two nieces Angela Lanois, Colleen Brady; and a nephew Paul Brady survive him. A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 12th, 2017 at Huntington Hills Church of God with Pastor Harv Turner officiating.
