Ashley Licoe Lyerly, 32 of Claremont died Monday, January 17, 2022 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born January 23rd, 1989 she was the daughter of Donald Rex Lyerly and Mellisa "Lisa" Renee Lyerly. She was a 2007 graduate of Bunker Hill High School and attended CVCC. She was a child care helper at Children of the World for 17 years.
In addition to her parents, Mellisa & Donald Lyerly of Claremont; three sons, Dequavius Rex Lyerly, Shavar Amari Niles and Jaaziah Jarrel Niles; three sisters, Crystal (Didi) Lyerly of Claremont, Kathy Williams of Shelby and Stephanie Keaton of Hickory; one brother, Cameron Thomas of Taylorsville: grandmother, Mildred Lyerly of Claremont; aunts and uncles, Johnny and Mary Lyerly of Claremont, David and Rose Poole of Hiddenite, Annette and Zachary Frazier of Claremont, John Barber and Glenn Barber of Newton; four special cousins, Zanaya Thompson of Hickory and Aytala Barber of Newton, Jermichael Watts of Claremont and Lamont Lyerly of Claremont; best friend, Megan Price of Hickory: her God Parents, Melisa Smith of Statesville and Gary Barber of Newton and a host of cousins and extended family survive her.
Her grandparents, JD Lyerly and Rosa Barber, great grandparents, Mildred Barber, Rose Lyerly and Walter Lyerly, and aunt, Mary (Pop) Lyerly and numerous aunts and uncles preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 1:30 pm Wednesday January 26, 2022 in the Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor TBD officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 -1:30 pm Wednesday at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
