Aundry Allen

December 31, 1969 — June 28, 2024

Audrey Marie Bollinger Allen- 78, of Maiden, NC, born December 24, 1945, gained her heavenly wings on Friday, June 28, 2024 in her home. Holding thehands of her daughter Cindy and Granddaughter Marie until Jesus called her to her heavenly home.

Audrey- well known to everyone as Aundry, the daughter of the late William Thomas and Nervie Jane Bollinger, also preceded in death by husband Grady Eugene Allen, her siblings Noela Lee Bollinger, Jack Thomas Bollinger, Ruby Lee Bollinger Thomas, Overa “Pete” Bollinger Kelly, Bertha “Bert” Mae Bollinger Chapman , JC Withers and grandson David Gene Clark, JR.

She is survived by Brother Billy Bollinger and wife Dari of Lincolnton, NC; children Cynthia “Sandy” (Clark) Gabriel and Husband Gary of Catawba, NC, daughter Lisa (Clark) Martini and Husband Jim of Lincolnton, NC, son David Clark of Raleigh, NC.
She has a very special Grandson, Grady Adam Allen of Maiden, NC. Like no other, he was always her favorite and we all knew it! Her granddaughter Marie Allen-Brooks of Catawba, NC, who was almost as special as Grady, and forever her “Sissy”. Grady and Marie spent every summer and weekend with her, as she taught them the southern way of life and how to love with the biggest heart you’d ever come to know.
Her wonderful granddaughter Kaitlin Mayes Maiyo and husband Hillary, Kaitlin was always there with to help her Mamaw in any way, even in the very end. Grandson Michael Martini of Hickory, NC- her buddy, he came to her rescue many times as she hated thunderstorms and never wanted to weather them alone, Micahel was always there! Other Grandchildren include Joshua Mayes and wife Amanda, Douglas Clark and Samantha Flowers and Husband Foster.

Her pride and joy, two special boys, Noah and Jeremiah “J” Brooks (Mother-Marie) of Catawba, NC. Her great-grandsons, the ones who spent every Sunday, holiday and free day in between with their Mamaw. Noah was her special buddy from the beginning and had 14 years of being spoiled rotten by her. Jeremiah got 6 wonderful and carefree years with her. These two had her heart and her wallet, she would have given them the world if they asked for it and they returned the favor with lots of love, visits and her favorite gifts- flowers and Juicy Fruit gum! In addition to her Noah and J, Her great-grandchildren: Elizabeth, Sydney, Alexis, Jaxon and Logan Mayes; Xazavious Berryman, Gavin and Carter Brooks, Dalton and Paul Clark.

Her very special caregivers from VIA Health Partners that provided Hospice care with the kindest souls and most loving hearts, the family is forever grateful for all that they did for Aundry and them throughout her transition.

Aundry may have led a simple life but it was full of love, laughter, sewing and craftmaking galore!
If you’re worried about what to wear to her service, in her own words “If I have to dress up, I’m not going!”. She would give you the last dollar she had, a room to stay in if you needed it and she was always there to listen with a shoulder to cry on.... Or an ear to gossip in as her and her sisters so frequently did! There would be nothing that would break her heart more than knowing you were crying for her now, she is dancing in the streets of gold with Jesus and all of her loved ones gone before her. Although her earthly body was full of pain and strife, she is no longer suffering in that pain, her heavenly body is restored and for that she would want you to be happy! Don’t cry for her down here, rejoice for her!

“A golden heart stopped beating, hardworking hands at rest. God broke our hearts to prove to us that He only takes the best”(Unknown).
