Barbara Brittain

Barbara J. Brittain, 96, of Newton went to celebrate Christmas with her Lord on Sunday, December 25, 2022 at Compass Healthcare & Rehab. Born July 26th, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Edgar and Lucille Jonas.
Barbara was a founding member of Startown Baptist Church. She loved to garden, cook, and can. She always had butter pecan ice cream on hand.
She is survived by her children Danny Brittain, Rickie Brittain, and Nita Plummer; her grandchildren Shane Brittain, Benjamin (wife Kirstin) Murray US Coast Guard, Jessie Brittain, Mariah Brittain; her great-grandchildren Devon Fink, Callie Brittain, Logan Fink, and Grace Murray.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Leslie Brittain, her granddaughter Crystal Brittain, and all of her siblings.
A memorial is being planned for a later date.
