Barbara Edwards

Barbara Ann Hilton Edwards, 81 of Hickory died Sunday, August 17th, 2014 at Hickory Manor. Born April 1st, 1933 she was the daughter of the late Homer Ernest Hilton and Inez Teague Hilton. She was employed by Roses Department Store for over 15 years. Two daughters, Sherry Mikucki and husband Peter of Hickory and Pamela Dula and husband Jeffrey of Granite Falls; two sons, Timothy Starnes of Hickory and Kenny Starnes and wife Ronette of Granite Falls; three sisters, Betty Graham of Fresno, CA, and Carolyn Icard of Newton; a brother, Tommy Hilton of Hickory; six grand-children, Megan, Ryan, Jill, Brent, Daniel and Nathan; six great grand-children, Claire, John, Olivia, Lanie and Laine survive her. Her first husband, Albert Starnes and her second husband, Oscar Kiah Edwards three sisters, Brenda Gail Marlow, Nancy Hilton and Virginia Pyatte; and three grand-daughters, Crystal Dula, Heather Dula and Leslie Dula Hicks preceded her in death. A graveside service will be 2:00 p.m. Friday, August 22th, 2014 at Temple Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with Pastor Ashley Crouse officiating. The family will receive friends immediately following the graveside service at the cemetery.
