Barbara Jackson

Barbara Ballew Jackson (Mama Jack), 82, of Hickory passed away Thursday, September 10th, 2015 at Catawba Regional Hospice. Born April 17th, 1933, she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruby Neese Ballew. A daughter Patricia Frasure and husband Roger of Conover; two sisters Dorothy Williams of Atlanta, Ga, Patsy Golden of Omaha, NE; a sister and brother in law Bill and Marie Jackson; 6 grandchildren Barbara Boyles and husband Drew of Hickory; Monica Propst and husband Scott of Hickory, Levi Jackson of Fort Lauderdale, Fl, Julian Jackson of High point, Jessica and Dustin Jackson of Hickory; 4 great grandchildren including her family namesake Jackson Propst survive her. In addition to her parents, her husband, Charles Jackson, a sister, Irene Ballew; four brothers, Louie Ballew, Bill Ballew, Joe Ballew, and Pete Ballew preceded her in death. The funeral will be 3:00pm Monday, September 14th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating. The family will receive friends from 2-3:00 pm Monday, September 14th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
