Barbara Mapes

Barbara Jean Mapes, 48 of Tate Blvd, Hickory, died Friday October 24, 2008 at Brian Center East. Born December 2, 1959 in Calhoun County Michigan, she was the daughter of the Dene Richard and Phyllis Lorraine Thomas Mapes. She worked in data entry for an answering service. Three sisters, Janet Camp and her husband Terry of Mesa, Ariz., Karen Lake and her husband Jerry of Newton and Anita Mapes of Newton; a number of nieces, nephews, uncles and aunts survive her. A Celebration of her life will be held at a later date in Battle Creek, Mich. Memorials may be made to Optimist International Foundation, 4494 Lindell Blvd. St Louis, MO. 63108.
