Barbara Marlow

Barbara Hill Marlow, 67 of Colonial Lane, Hickory died Friday, September 10, 2010 at Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley. Born January 27, 1943, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Carroll & Eva Louise Page Hill. Her husband of nearly 50 years, Thomas Keith Marlow, Sr. preceded her in death. Barbara worked for over 35 years in the Accounting Dept. at Sherrill’s Furniture. She was a 1961 Hickory High School graduate and graduated from C.V.T. I. A daughter, Kim Marlow & husband Brad Sexton of St. John’s, Florida; a son, Thomas Keith Marlow, Jr. & wife Jennifer of Conover; a sister, Pat & husband Randy Buchanan of Hickory and three grand-children, Connor, Katie and Michael survive her. In addition to her husband Thomas; a brother, Joseph Hill preceded her in death. A Celebration of Barbara’s life will be 6:30 p.m. Friday, September 17, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Pastor Scott Frady will officiate. The family will receive friends following the ceremony.
