Barbara Stone

Barbara Faye Stone 75 of Statesville died Tuesday, January 31st, 2017 at Cambridge House. Born January 15th, 1942 she was the daughter of the late William Anderson Stone and Zipporah Adeline Chandler Stone. She loved spending time with her loyal companion Princess. She spent most of her life in Taylorsville,  Hickory, and her home state of Tennessee which she loved. She loved meeting people and was quick to make a joke.     Three daughters, Rachel Swink and husband Micheal of Hickory, Shirley Deviney and husband Randy of Statesville and Sandra Edwards and husband Lawrence of Vale; a brother, Walter Stone of TN; Survived by one brother Walter Stone of GeenevilleTN, and 2 sisters Georgia Henry (husband Paul) of Melvindale Michigan and Betty "Ana" Stone of Chula Vista California; seven grandchildren, Christopher Swink, Sarah Swink, Nathaniel Swink, Brandon Deviney and wife Lyndsay, Emily Deviney, Michael Edwards and Brian Edwards survive her. She was the 12th of 13 children.  Five brothers and four sisters and a grandchild, Whitney Edwards preceded her in death.  A Celebration of Barbara's life will be 2:00 pm Monday, February 6th, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Michael Benfield officiating.  The family will receive friends immediately following the ceremony Monday, February 6th, 2017 at Jenkins Funeral Home.   The family would like to say a special thank you to Hospice Chaplain Bruce Dayton and a special thanks to Catawba Regional Hospice and Cambridge House of Hildebran.     Please sign the online guestbook at www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
