Barbara Tillery

Barbara London Tillery, 87, of Hickory , NC (Wichita Falls, Tx), passed away on December 26, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack and Olise (LeMon) London, her husband, Jerry Lee Tillery of 29 years. She is survived by her children, Beth Bailey, Jay Tillery and Leigh Womack; her grandchildren, Stormy, Lyndsey, Jesse Tillery, Jerry Tillery, Alyssa Holloway, Nick Womack, William Crenshaw, Connor Bailey, Katherine Crenshaw and Alexander Womack.

In her younger years, she was a force to be reckoned with on the tennis court. Barbara spent much of her free time volunteering. She worked for an architectural firm after her kids were grown. She loved her time at the family's lake front property at Possum Kingdom. Barbara and Jerry attended All Saints' Episcopal Church in Wichita Falls for many years.

Whether sitting on her divan reading or watching a documentary, she loved educating herself. She loved the holidays and hosting parties. She also enjoyed a glass of wine or scotch (good scotch) from time to time. In the last few years, her favorite past times were sitting on Leigh's back porch with her grandchildren. Anyone who knew Barbara knows she was a truly unique and loving person in her own way and she will truly be missed.
