Belen Rivera, 94, of Maiden passed away Thursday, April 20th, 2017 at Abernethy Laurels. Born January 11th, 1923 she was the daughter of the late Gumercindo Algarin and Belen Algarin Nater. A daughter, Gladys Fontanez and husband Rafael of Maiden; seven grandchildren and one great grandchild survive her. Her husband, Manuel Rivera; father Gumercindo Algarin; and mother, Belen Algarin preceded her in death. The funeral will be Tuesday, April 25th at Johnstons Wellwood Funeral Home at 305 North Wellwood Ave, Lindenhurst, NY 11757 from 7:00 - 9:00pm with Deacon Barry officiating. The family will receive friends from 9:30-10:30am Wednesday, April 26th. Burial will follow at Pinelawn Memorial Park . Please sign the online guestbook at www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net.
