Bert Schrader

Bert Alan Schrader, 55, of Newton passed away Saturday, January 13th, 2024 in his home, surrounded by his family. Born, January 22nd, 1968 he was the son of Joseph Phillip Schrader and Mary Catherine Whited Schrader. He loved spending time with his family, and he considered his grandchildren to be the lights of his life. He attended Clemson University and went back to school to complete a Bachelor Degree in Education from Appalachian State University. He will be deeply missed by all of his friends and family, especially his wonderful sense of humor.

In addition to his parents, Joseph Phillip Schrader and Mary Catherine Whited Schrader, he is survived by his wife of 32 years, Mary Jo Heaton Schrader of Newton; his children, Sarah Nicole Allen (Gregory) of Newton, Joseph Alan Schrader of Connelly Springs, and Alex L. Schrader of Morganton; his siblings, Phillip Schrader (Christine), and Christopher Schrader; three much loved grandchildren, William Gregory Allen, Zachary Alexander Allen, and Barry Nathaniel Allen; a sister-in-law, Laurie Lawton and her husband, Paul Lawton of Broadalbin, NY; and many loved Nieces, Nephews, Cousins, Aunts, and Uncles.

The family will have a Celebration of Life, 3PM-5PM Friday, January 19th, 2024 in Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
