Betty Sue Grant Mays, 93 , of Hickory passed away Thursday, January 13, 2022. Born September 16th, 1928 she was the daughter of the late Charlie Grant and Elois Bowman. She is survived by two daughters Miki Mays of Hickory and Luann Neal of Wingate; a son, Richard Mays of Hickory; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and seven great, great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Rhondle H. Mays; sons, Gene Mays, Michael Mays and Mark Mays, two brothers, Rev. Bill Bowman and Mel Bowman; a grandson, Corey Mays and a great-grandson, Rhonnie Mays.

The funeral will be 2:00 P.M. Friday January 21, 2022 at Hillside Baptist Church. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
