Betty Zook

Betty Jean Honeycutt Zook, 77 of 21st Ave. NE, Hickory died Monday, December 06, 2010 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born November 27, 1933 in Catawba County, she was the daughter of the late Frances Fisher & Grover Cleveland Honeycutt. Betty was an avid swimmer and reader. She was a member of the National Humane Society and volunteered at the Santa Rosa Medical Center in Milton Florida for many years. In addition to her husband of 30 years, Fred S. Zook, a brother, Grover Nelson Honeycutt and five sisters, Norene Woody, Doris Ingle, Rose Whisnant, Alice Hunsucker & Katherine Sain preceded her in death. Memorials may be made to the The National Humane Society, HSUS Dept MEMIT9 2100 L St. NW Washington, DC 20037 (or) the American Heart Association, 4217 Park Place Ct. Glen Allen, Va. 23060.
