Beverly Pruitt

Beverly Jean Pruitt, born Nov. 24, 1935, in Detroit, Michigan died peacefully in Hickory on October 26, 2022. She was a loving mother, grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. Beverly believed in ruling with the rod to every child and was a mother to all. Storyteller, devout Christian, Elvis lover, and shag dancer are just a few things that come to mind when thinking of her.

She is proceeded in death by her husband, Jerry Pruitt; father, John Porter Ferguson; mother, Sadie Saad; stepmother, Beulah Ferguson; siblings: Ken, Bill, Maxine, Jack, Charlotte, Doris Ann, Louise; daughter-in-law Rhonda Ferguson.

Those left to cherish her memory are Rick Ferguson, Mike Ferguson, Bo and Becky Pruitt, Robbie & Audra Pruitt, Jerry and Wendy Pruitt, Jennifer Ferguson and Clint, siblings: John, Karen, and Mike; 20 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, special sons: Tommy (deceased), Neil, and Sammy, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The memorial service will be 4:00 PM Monday, October 31, 2022 at Open Door Baptist Longview with Pastor Shawn Davis officiating. The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Monday, October 31, 2022 at Open Door Baptist Longview.
