Billie Farmer

Billie Arnold Farmer 61 of Maiden died Monday November 18th, 2013 at his residence after a lengthy illness. Born March 30th, 1952 in Buchanan County, VA, he was the son of the late Arnold Lee Farmer and Edna Mae Sullivan Farmer. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He worked in the coal mine industry for over 27 years in Virginia, West Virginia and Kentucky. An animal lover he was an avid NASCAR and Steelers fan. His wife of nearly 38 years, Judy Lynn Keen Farmer of the home; two daughters, Suesanna Lynn Canterbury and husband Roland, Jr. of Hickory and Roxana Dawn Fulton and husband Stephen, Sr. of Conover; two sons, Billy Linn Farmer and Claressa Mohan-Houser of Maiden and Arnold Trenton Lee Farmer and wife Elizabeth Ann of Newton; two sisters, Mary L. Blankenship of Roanoke, VA and Ann Farmer of Haysi, VA; seven brothers, Harold D. Farmer of Oakwood, VA, Mason Lee Farmer of Oakwood, VA, Kenneth R. Farmer and wife Shirley of Hillsville, VA, Roy D. Farmer and wife Kathy of Swords Creek, VA, Ronnie L. Farmer and wife Dolly of Rowe, VA, Donnie W. Farmer and wife Charlene of Vansant, VA and Larry R. Farmer of Haysi, VA; 10 grandchildren, Kaitlyn, Savanna, Zachariah, Trenton Jr. (T.J.), Lexie, Jasmine, Braddock, Jacob, Victoriana and Stephen, Jr. (Bo) and numerous nieces and nephews survive him. The funeral will be 1:30 pm Friday November 22nd, 2013 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with James Barnes officiating. Burial will be at a later date at Esau Rife Cemetery in Keen Mountain, VA.
