November 30, 1956 — March 22, 2021

Billy Keith Cox, 64, of Conover, NC, passed away peacefully on Monday, March 22nd, 2021, surrounded by his loved ones.

Known by his closest friends and family as SHAG, he was born in Robeson County and was a proud member of the Orrum High Raiders. Later, he attended Pembroke University and North Carolina State University, graduating with a BA in public administration. After college, he started several successful business ventures and finally committed to a lifelong career as a real estate broker, where he worked for Realty Executives for over 20 years.

An avid sports fan, especially Wolf Pack basketball, was a coach and mentor for many young men in both the YMCA and church basketball leagues, leading his teams to numerous championships. He loved to travel worldwide and enjoyed experiencing life laughing with his family and friends.

He had an incredible personality that was bigger-than-life and inspired those he loved to reach for the stars.

He was a gift to all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Thank you for sharing your life, friendship, and love with us, Bill.

You will always be our dad, brother, uncle, love, and friend.

The funeral will be 2:00 pm Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at Tri-City Baptist Church with Pastor Dr. Hampton Drum officiating. The Family will have a private burial at Catawba Memorial Park at a later date.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 pm-2:00 pm Saturday, March 27th, 2021 at Tri-City Baptist Church.
