Billy Darrell Isom, Sr.

Billy Darrell Isom, Sr., 75, of Hickory, passed away on April 8, 2025, at Catawba Valley Medical Center. He was born on November 4, 1949, in High Point, North Carolina, to the late Thomas M. and Beulah Mae Isom. Billy grew up in High Point and spent 34 years working at Century Furniture in Hickory before retiring. He loved spending time with his family, had a passion for the outdoors, and enjoyed traveling. A devoted man of faith, Billy served as a deacon for over 30 years at Faith Olive Baptist Church in Hickory.

He is survived by his loving wife of 54 years, Diane Isom; two sons, Billy D. Isom Jr. of Boone, NC, and Michael Lance Isom and wife Stephanie of Nebo, NC; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Billy was preceded in death by his brothers, Charles and Kenneth Isom of High Point, and Lee Roy Isom of Hickory.

The Memorial Service will be held 4:00pm Friday, April 11th, 2025 at Faith Olive Baptist Church, 4113 Old Shelby Rd, Hickory, NC 28602.

The family will receive friends from 3:00pm - 4:00pm, Friday, April 11th, 2025 prior to the service at Faith Olive Baptist Church, 4113 Old Shelby Rd, Hickory, NC 28602.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions be made to either St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or Shriners Hospitals for Children.
