Billy Martin

Billy Paul Martin, 57, of Vale died Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born November 13th, 1965 he was the son of the late Eugene and Doris Martin. Billy was a truck driver for PFG for 36 years and was named to the IFDA Truck Driver Hall of Fame in 2019.

His son, Matthew Martin (Meshell); his daughter, Destyni Nicole Kelley (Daniel); four grandchildren, Micah Martin, Macie Martin, Charles Kelley and Wenona Kelley; five brothers, Randy Martin, Tony Martin, Daniel Martin, Tracy Martin and Lemuel Martin; three sisters, Wanda Holden, Debra Johnson and Pamela Cox and his beloved dog, Carmi survive him.

In addition to his parents, his daughter, Jessica Martin and his sister, Sheila Roark preceded him in death.

The funeral will be 11:00 A.M. Friday, September 8, 2023 at Jenkins Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Johnson officiating. The family will receive friends an hour prior to the service and burial will follow at Brookford Cemetery.
