Billy Setzer

Billy Boyd Setzer Sr., 80, of Catawba, passed away on Saturday, May 19, 2012 at Hospice of Sherrills Ford. Billy was born in Catawba County on February 26, 1932 to the late Walter Tilford and Beaulah Mae Lee Setzer. Billy was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather, he enjoyed fishing and farming in his free time. In addition to his parents, Mr. Setzer was preceded in death by his brothers; Pinkney Boyce Setzer, Harold Setzer, Coyte Setzer, and Dean Setzer, sisters; Aileen Hildebran, Cleta Hovis, and Gladys Setzer. Billy is survived his wife of 57 years Bobbie Jane Eastridge Setzer, sister, Evelyn Setzer Stewart, son; Billy Setzer Jr. of Newton , daughters; Ginger Lynnette Lynch, and husband William of Catawba, and Sherry Huffman Carroll of Catawba, 7 grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 from 6:00pm to 8:00 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church of Catawba. The Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, May 23, 2012 at 2:00 pm at Shiloh United Methodist Church in Catawba with the Reverend Ronald Lytle officiating. Burial will follow in the church Cemetery.
