Bobby Ledford

Bobby Dean Ledford, 60 of Newton died Friday, May 15th, 2015 at his residence. Born September 17th, 1954 he was the son of Faye Ledford and the late M.L. Ledford. He was an avid classic car enthusiast. He enjoyed spending time with his family and spent many years supporting his girls sports teams. He served as maintenance manager for over 40 years at Century Furniture and considered his co-workers like family. He was a member of St. Paul's Reformed Church for 25 years where he served in many positions. His wife of 37 years, Prisca Hines Ledford of the home; his mother, Faye Ledford of Newton; two daughters, Casey Ledford Mueller and husband Wayne of Hickory and Jordan Ledford of Hickory; two sisters, Nina Ledford Greene and husband David of Newton and Pat Ledford Wilson and husband Phillip of Newton; two grandchildren, Liam and Averie Mueller; and four special nieces and nephews survive him. His father, Major Lee "M.L." Ledford preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Monday, May 18th, 2015 at St. Paul's Reformed Church with Pastor John Bigelow and The Rev. Dr. Stephen R. Disher officiating. Burial will follow at St. Paul's Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 5-7:00 pm Sunday, May 17th, 2015 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
