Bobby Stafford

Bobby Jay Stafford, 66, of Conover passed away Saturday, May 5th, 2018 at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center. Born December 14th, 1951 he was the son of the late Avery Stafford and Mertis Carrigan Stafford. Bobby was a 1971 graduate of Newton Conover and a 1975 graduate of Gardner Webb College. He worked for Tyson Hatchery for over 20 years and a former member of East 1st Street Baptist Church.

Two sisters Connie Schronce and husband Randy of Granite Falls, Annie Sweet and husband Charles of Conover; a brother Danny Stafford and wife Yukiko of Fredricksburg, VA; a special friend Faye Loyd and long time friend Brian Alexander and numerous nieces and nephews survive him.

The funeral will be 3:00 pm Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with nephew Bruce Schronce officiating. Burial will follow at Conover Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 am - 3:00 am Tuesday, May 8th, 2018 at The Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
