Bonnie Deitz

June 18, 1929 — February 15, 2019

Bonnie Marie Deitz, 89, of Hickory passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family, Friday, February 15th, 2019. Born June 18th, 1929 she was the daughter of Holland Leroy Isenhour and Essie Mathis Isenhour.  Bonnie was a loving and giving wife, mother, grand mother, great grandmother and aunt, who never met a stranger.  She opened her heart and home to many and fed the multitudes. Bonnie traveled the world following her husband who served in the U.S. Army.
Her four daughters Pat O'Brien of Conover, Donna Abernethy and husband Ronald of Maiden, Robin Long and husband Bob of Garner, Wendy Secrest and husband Kenny of Conover; three sons Michael Deitz of Conover, Tipton Deitz and wife Betsy of Conover, Brian Deitz and wife Robin of Conover; her brother Dean Isenhour of Hickory; 21 grandchildren; and 26 great grandchildren survive her.

In addition to her parents; her husband of 30 years Harold Floyd Deitz Sr.; her son Harold Floyd Deitz Jr; two sisters Barbara Ann Dellinger, Louise Sigmon; and three brothers James Isenhour, Everette Hedrick, Hanson Hedrick preceded her in death.
The family would like to extend a special Thank You to Candice Secrest and others who assisted in carrying out her wish to remain at home.
A Celebration of Life will be held 2:00 pm Saturday, February 23rd, 2019 at Freedom Biker Church of Hickory with Pastor Phil Goins officiating.

The family will receive friends following the service.
Flowers may be delivered to the church Saturday February 23rd, 2019 at 12:00 pm
