Brandon Lee Ramseur, son of Spanky Lee Ramseur and Lora Stinson Ramseur, was born June 5, 1984 in Catawba County. He departed this life on Friday, October 9, 2020 at Carolina Caring after a lingering condition, at the age of 36 years, 4 months, and 4 days.
Brandon was a lovable, caring, quiet, humorous, polite, friendly young man that believed in our Lord Savior Jesus Christ. He loved his music ("beats"), comedy, being outdoors, and especially spending time with his nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Brandon was a 2002 graduate of Maiden High School in Maiden, NC. He played line backer on the varsity football team, percussion player in the concert and marching band. After graduation, he attended the Electrical Technology Program at Catawba Valley Community College in Hickory, NC.
Brandon attended Glorious Church of God in Newton, NC. He enjoyed playing the drums for the choir and worship service. For a brief time, Brandon played the drums and performed with a gospel group known as "Devotion."
Brandon is preceded in death by a grandmother, the late Pastor Ethel Mae Ramseur and two grandfathers Flemon Ramseur Jr. and Lovette Stinson Jr.
Those left to cherish Brandon's memory include his parents Pastor Spanky (Lora) Ramseur of Maiden; a sister Teyauna Ramseur of Newton; two nieces Kahmaria Turner and Kourtney Black, both of Newton; a nephew Karsten Lee Black of Newton; a grandmother Diane Peterson Whitener of Newton; and a host of relatives and friends.
The funeral will be 3:00 pm, Friday, October 16, 2020 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at Coulters Grove Cemetery.
