Brenda Kay Smith

Brenda Kay Smith, 76, of Hickory, NC passed away Wednesday, January 30, 2025 at Carolina Caring. Born November 16, 1948 and she was the daughter of late Boyce and Leila Slick. Brenda worked most her life as a Hairdresser and retired from Corning Incorporated. 

She left behind a daughter, Crystal Dawn Richardson of Hickory, NC; granddaughter, Abby Richardson of Hickory, NC; grandson, Edward Hamby of Yadkinville, NC; twin great-grandchildren, Jaxon and Hunter Fisher of Hickory, NC; and two sisters, Barbara McCurry of Conover, NC and Ann Elliott of Claremont, NC.

She will be truly missed by all who knew her.

The funeral Service will be 11:00 am, Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home, 4081 Startown Road, Newton, NC 28658. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 10:00 am-11:00 am, Tuesday, February 4th, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home.
