Brenda Marlow

Brenda Gail Hilton Marlow, 65 of Thompson Street, Newton died Thursday, April 08, 2010 at Caldwell Memorial Hospital. Brenda was born May 16, 1944 and was the daughter of late Homer Ernest & Inez Louvella Teague Hilton. Brenda worked 22 years at Bassett Furniture. She loved flowers, traveling & loved her family and friends. In addition to her husband of 48 years, Charles Reid â??Peteâ? Marlow; four daughters, Sonja Marie White of Bethpage, TN, Regina Sue Marlow & Quintin Settlemyre of Newton, Crystal Annette Marlow & Ryan Kiser of Hickory; two sons, Dwayne Edward Marlow of Glasgow, KY, Terry Lee Marlow & wife Julia of Newton; four sisters, Betty Graham of California, Barbara Edwards of Bethlehem, Virginia Pyatte of Lenoir, Carolyn Icard of Hickory; a brother, Tommy Hilton of Hickory, 14 grand-children & 9 great grand-children survive her. A sister, Nancy Cook and a son-in-law Phillip Massey preceded her in death. The Funeral service will be 3:30 pm, Sunday, April 11, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel on Startown Road. Pastor Doug St. John will officiate. The family will receive friends from 2-3:30 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
