Brent Douglas Sigmon, 58 of Claremont died Thursday June 5th, 2014 at Select Specialty Hospital in Winston-Salem. Born May 8th, 1956 he was the son of the late Hugh Sigmon and Evelyn Robbins Sigmon. He loved photography and traveling. He enjoyed spending time with his family particularly his great nephew, Ches. He was member of the Riverside Lodge 606 and the Scottish Rite and the Shriners. He received a 25 year accommodation from Claremont Police Department. For a number of years, he derived tremendous satisfaction and found it rewarding to help friends and customers at Rite-Aid Pharmacy in Newton. A sister, Robbin Sigmon of Drexel; a niece Leigh Dyel Sigmon and husband Jamie Dose of Black Mountain; a great nephew, Ches Dose survive him. In addition to his parents, a brother, Joel Clay Sigmon preceded him in death. The Celebration of Life will be 2:00 pm Saturday June 28th, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends at a reception immediately following the ceremony at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to St. Marks Lutheran Church in Claremont.
