C. Shook

C. "Nelson" Shook, 68, of Vale went to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, March 14, 2022 at his family home. Born November 10th, 1953 he was the son of the late Faye (Propst) and Roy Oneil Shook.

While serving in the United States Army for twenty years, Nelson enjoyed being the Kennel Master. In the later years of his life, Nelson enjoyed spending his time woodworking. He was a faithful member at New Covenant Church of God in Hickory.

In addition to his wife of 50 years, Phyllis Shook, those left to cherish his memory include his sisters, Debbie Willis, Cathy Davis and Dorothy Shuford; brother, Robert Shook and a numerous amount of nieces and nephews survive him.

The funeral will be 3:00 Friday, March 18, 2022 at New Covenant Church of God with Pastor Dennis Pitts officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the funeral service.
