Calvin Duncan

Calvin Robert Duncan 58 of Granite Falls died Saturday, October 14th, 2017 at Frye Regional Medical Center. Born July 16th, 1959 he was the son of the late Joseph Duncan and Hattie Colleen Barnes.   His wife, Cheryl Duncan of Granite Falls; a son, Christopher Daniel Duncan of Granite Falls; a sister, Mary Frye and husband Wayne; nieces and nephews, Joshua Frye, Tierra Fox and husband Justin of Granite Falls, Tawny Foust and husband Brian of Valdese, Jonathan Hudson of Newton and Desiree Hudson of Newton; a great nephew, Austin Fox and a special cousin, Bud Bolick and family and friends survive him. A son, Calvin Wayne (Toby) Duncan and his step-father, Raleigh Henry Barnes preceded him in death. The funeral will be 2:00 pm Friday, October 20th, 2017 at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Ingle and Pastor Darrell Williams officiating. The body will lie in state from 1-2:00 pm.  Burial will follow at Dudley Shoals Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 pm-7:30 pm Thursday, October 19th, 2017 at Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home .   Big brother, you were supposed to be here for me, but we know you are in the loving arms of your mother and father and seeing your son.
