Carl Sigmon

Carl Clifford Sigmon, 85 of Conover died Thursday, August 21st, 2014 at Catawba Regional Medical Center. Born January 2nd, 1929 he was the son of the late Clyde Robert Sigmon and Claudia Isenhour Sigmon. He retired from Southern Furniture after 35 years of service and worked at Broyhill for 15 years. His wife of 64 years, Janie Maxine Sipe Sigmon; Janice S. Lail of Conover, Debra Bishop of Myrtle Beach, Kathy McConnell of Conover and Carolyn Setzer of Carolina Shores, NC; John William Sigmon and wife Margie Jenkins Sigmon of Conover; two grandchildren, Carla Taylor and husband Eric of Portland, OR and Christine McConnell of Conover survive him. A sister, Faye Joyce Sigmon and her husband, Arville Sigmon; a brother, Hugh Gaither Sigmon; son-in-laws, Larry Lail, Joel Bishop and Lynn McConnell preceded him in death. The funeral will be 3:00 pm Saturday, August 23rd, 2014 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor David Petterson officiating. Burial will follow at Jenkins Cemetery.
