Carla Jo Stafford Settlemyre of Paint Shop Road in Lincolnton died peacefully at her home on July 19, 2023. Carla, a loving wife and mother was born in Ashland, Kentucky on May 9, 1957. She was the daughter of the late Thomas Allen Stafford and Virginia Price Stafford.
Carla was a special education teacher at West Lincoln Middle School for 20 years as well as a Sunday school teacher in several churches including Salem Baptist Church where she was a member.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Robert A Stafford.
Survivors include her husband, Blair Settlemyre; two brothers, Gregory Stafford and Darrin Stafford, both of Ashland, Kentucky; a daughter and son-in-law, Cindy and David Anders; a son and daughter-in-law, Brad and Ronda Laber; a daughter and son-in-law, Sybil and Fernendo Monrroy; son and daughter-in-law, Ben and Keisha Settlemyre; nine grandchildren, Brooke and Husband Tommy Wurth, Emily and husband Colton Chappell, Leah Anders, Lucas Monrroy, Ellen Monrroy, Eliot Monrroy, Theodore Settlemyre and Beckham Settlemyre; two great-grandchildren, Samuel Wurth and Abigail Wurth.
The family will receive friends from 12:30-2:00 P.M. on Saturday, July 22, 2023 at Salem Baptist Church followed by a homegoing service at 2:00 P.M. officiated by Rev. David Anders, Rev. Thomas Wurth and Rev. Shea Houser. Burial will follow at a later date.
