Carol Shortt

Carol Lynn Troutt Shortt, 71, of Hickory passed away Wednesday, December 11, 2024 at her home. Born March 30, 1953 she was the daughter of the late Charlie and Irene Troutt.

Carol is survived by her husband of 55 and half years, Roger Dale Shortt of Hickory NC; son, Jeffery Shortt (Carrie) of Hickory, NC; brother, Melvin C. Troutt of Sterling Heights, MI; two sisters, Barbara Serri (Paul) of Belleville, MI and Debra J. Worlley (Rob) of Knoxville, TN; and sister-in-law Susie Troutt of Lincoln Park, MI.

Her parents; brother, Dewey W. Troutt (wife Susie surviving); and sister-in-law Wanda Troutt (husband Melvin C. surviving) preceded her in death.

There will be a Celebration of Life in early Spring 2025.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Carolina Caring Hospice.
