Carolyn Hipps

November 3, 1946 — July 30, 2021

Carolyn Sue Hipps 74 of Morganton died Friday, July 30, 2021, at her residence. Born, November 3rd, 1946 she was the daughter of the late John Henry Eller and Willa Jean Riddle Eller.  Carolyn was a McDowell Independent Presbyterian Church member in Morganton and worked at Drexel Heritage Furniture for over 30 years. She loved spending time with her children and great-grandchildren. She enjoyed fishing and her little dogs Beaufort and Pickles.

Those left to cherish her memory are her loving husband Tommy Len Hipps of Morganton, NC. A daughter Sonya Kay Draper of Morganton. A son Jerry Lynn Young and wife Susan of Morganton; two brothers Johnny Eller and wife Carolyn of Morganton and Sam Eller and wife Linda of Valdese; three grandchildren Christopher Bryan Draper, Kelby Lynn Young, and Dakota Young, and two great-grandchildren Jetter Young and Leah Young.

In addition to her parents, a daughter Lori Ann Young and a grandson Jacob Draper preceded her in death.

A graveside service will be 11:00 am Monday, August 2, 2021, at McDowell Independent Presbyterian Church Cemetery in Morganton.
