Carolyn Rowlett

Carolyn Pennell Rowlett, 79, of Newton died Wednesday, April 17, 2024 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born March 26th, 1945, she was the daughter of the late Toy Ward Pennell and Velva Irene Pennell. Carolyn was a faithful member of His Image Ministries and loved interior design and her animals.

Her step-son, Terry Joe Rowlett and wife, Brenda of Gilbert, Arizona; her sister, Rita Piche of Hamburg, Pennsylvania; her brother, Tommy Pennell and wife Alesia of Taylorsville; her aunt, Bonnie Simms; her brother-in-law, Michael Rowlett and wife Betty of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins survive her.

In addition to her parents, her spouse, Gerald Edward Rowlett and her brother, Edwin Pennell preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 4:00 P.M. Saturday, April 20, 2024 at His Image Ministries. 185 6th Street SW Hickory, NC 28602. The family will receive friends from 3:00-4:00 P.M. at the church and burial will follow at Jenkins Funeral Home.
