Carolyn Herman Wallace 84 of Statesville, formerly of Conover died Tuesday, December 6, 2022 at Brookdale Peachtree Memory Care. Born October 3rd, 1938 she was the daughter of the late Leonard Ralph Herman and Frankie Violet Herman. She enjoyed music and dancing and forever searching for the perfectly coordinating shoes to dance. She worked as a payroll accountant at GE for 38 years and then for 20 years in accounting at IWANNA. She played basketball at Hickory High School earning the nickname, "Stilts." She was a talented and creative flower arranger for weddings, and special occasion cakes for birthdays and weddings. She loved to shop for bargains and was a huge NASCAR fan pulling for David Pearson, number 21. Some would say she was more fond of his looks and not his driving.
Her partner, Michael Ferguson of Glen Alpine; a daughter, April Wesolowski and husband Scott of Statesville; a brother, Donald Herman and wife Beth of Hickory; A grandson, Devin Sigman and wife Jenna of Charlotte; a granddaughter, Kelsea Holmes and husband Zach of Statesville and two bonus grandchildren, Brandon and Bailey; four great grandchildren; Solomon, Thaddeus, Haus and Cash and three bonus great granddaughters; and other surviving family members, Candice Moore, Troy and Chris survive her.
Her husband of 25 years, Coyte A. "Jack" Wallace preceded her in death.
The funeral will be 2:00 pm Thursday, December 8th, 2022 at Jenkins Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Dana McKim officiating. Burial will follow at Catawba Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 pm Thursday at the Celebration Center of Jenkins Funeral Home.
