Carolyn Worley

Carolyn Dale Worley 74 of Newton died Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born Monday, January 14th, 1946 she was the daughter of Harold Davis Mundy and Alma Marie Bentley. She was a loving mother and grandmother. She attended Center View United Methodist Church in Catawba.

Three sons, Michael Anthony Worley and Teresa Worley of Newton, Jeffrey Howard Worley and wife Debbie of Newton and Bryan Uran Worley of Brownsville, TX; a sister Sherry Dean Worley and husband Anthony Call of Conover; a brother Calvin Davis Mundy and wife Nancy of Newton; a sister, Nancy Brown of Troutman; a brother in law, Phillip Morrow, Sr. of Conover and seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren survive her.

Three sisters, Jewel Munday Morrow, Judy Christopher and her twin sister Marilyn Benge preceded her in death.


The funeral will be 2:00 PM Sunday at the chapel of Jenkins Funeral Home with Pastor Ty Travis officiating. Burial will follow at Center UMC Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 1-2:00 PM Sunday January 10, 2021 at the Celebration Center of Funeral Home.
