Carri Sue Garrett 60 of Sherrills Ford passed away Wednesday, February 17, 2021 at her residence. Born, October 18th, 1960 in Hickory, NC, she was the daughter of James Clyde McMahan and the late Sue Edna Spencer McMahan. Her grandchildren always came first.
Carri is survived by her daughter, Cortney Susanne Garrett, and 5 grandchildren: Landyn Paige Garrett, Carly Isabel Rodriguez, Lily Grace Bumgarner, Wren Nora Cole Rollins and Roan Lawson Banks Garrett. She is also survived by her sister, Renita Jean McMahan and 2 nieces: Jordan Buchanan and Sydney Buchanan. Her brother, Eddie James McMahan and wife, Beth Sigmon McMahan and 3 nieces: Sarah Beth McMahan, Virginia McMahan and Catherine McMahan.
Carri is preceded in death by her son Cole Spencer Garrett and her life long partner James Sydney Church. We know she is at peace and reunited with her loved ones and will be greatly missed here on Earth. We love you mom.
The family will be making arrangements for a memorial service in the upcoming weeks.
