Catherine Sigmon

May 12, 1926 — January 31, 2018

Catherine Elizabeth Sigmon 91 of Conover died Wednesday, January 31st, 2018 at Catawba Valley Medical Center. Born May 12th, 1926 she was the daughter of the late Guy Feimster Smith and Lela Yount Smith. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church where she was a Sunday School teacher, and held several offices in the LWML. She was also a member of the Altar Guild and the Golden Nuggetts Seniors club.

Two daughters, Esther Sigmon Bandy and husband John of Conover and Anita Sigmon Gryder and husband Dwight of Conover; a son, Harvey Dallas Sigmon and wife Tammy of Conover; six grandchildren, Tamp Bandy, Lisa Sain, Matt Bandy, Lauren Sigmon, Lela Sample, Alex Sigmon and thirteen great grandchildren survive her.

Two sisters, Wilma Seitz and Faye Hollar and a brother Rev. Johnny Smith and her husband Harvey Maxwell Sigmon preceded her in death.

The funeral will be 3:00 pm Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at St John's Lutheran Church with Rev. Anton Lagoutine officiating. Burial will follow at St. John's Lutheran Church Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Tamp Bandy, Jason Sain, Matt Bandy, Alex Sigmon, Jordan Sample, Austin Bandy, Jake Bandy and Wyatt Sain.

The family will receive friends from 1:30 pm-2:45 pm Saturday, February 3rd, 2018 at St. John's Lutheran Church.
