Cecil Byers

Cecil Richard Byers, 77, of Connelly Springs passed away Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at Brian Center East. Born October 2nd, 1944 he was the son of Melvin and Annie Byers.

Cecil loved to drive and to travel. He was a great outdoorsman and was an avid fisherman. For 30 years he worked as a truck driver.

He was survived by his children David (Sherri) Laastad of Connelly Springs, Cecil (Angie) Byers, Jr., of Conover, Jeremy Byers of Conover, Katherine (Timothy) Glazebrooks of Connelly Springs, and Jacqueline Apostale of Newton, his brothers Melvin Richard (Tina) Byers, Kevin (Miranda) Byers, and Jamie (Carolyn) Byers all of Putnam County, Florida, twenty-nine grandchildren, and numerous great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents Melvin and Annie Byers, his son Jason Byers, and his wife of 34 years, Patsy Byers.

The memorial service will be 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.

The family will receive friends from 6:00 - 7:00 PM Wednesday, August 3rd, 2022, at Jenkins Funeral Home Celebration Center.
