Chao Xiong

Chao Xiong, 79 of Causby Road, Morganton died Wednesday, July 22, 2009 in Oroville Hospital in Oroville, Ca. Born June 15,1930 in Laos, she was the daughter of the late Chai Xeng Xiong. Her two daughters,Chia Yang of California, Song Yang of Hickory;Four sons; Lue Yang of Morganton NC, Sue Yang of Morganton, Xiong Yang of Morganton, Ka Yang of California and 30 grand-children survive her.  Her husband Xia Lee Yang preceded her in death. Hmong services will be Friday, July 31, 2009, Saturday, August 1, 2009 & Sunday, August 2, 2009 at Startown Gathering Center at Jenkins Funeral Home on Startown Road, Newton. Burial will follow Sunday at Burke Memorial Park in Morganton, NC. Condolence messages may be sent to www.jenkinsfuneralhome.net. The Xiong family has entrusted arrangements to Jenkins Funeral Home & Cremation Service in Newton.Â
