Charles Simpson

Charles J. Simpson, Jr "Chuck", 46, of Vale currently of Morganton died June 29, 2024, at Amorem Hospice. Born December 27, 1977, he was the son of Charles Joseph Simpson, Sr and Linda Gaye Long Simpson.

Chuck was an avid outdoorsman with a passion for hiking the Linville Gorge. Chuck met many interesting people during his travels. One he was most proud of was his trip to the New York State line on his motorcycle and camping along the way. You could feel like you were traveling with him through his incredible photography. When he was not traveling, he enjoyed spending time with his family, friends, nieces and nephews. Chuck was a former maintenance technician for Spectrum for many years and enjoyed his work.

He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Joseph Simpson, Sr., grandparents, Ann Long, Willard Long, Alzina Miller Wyatt, and Dee Simpson.

Those left to cherish his memory are his mother, Linda Simpson, his sister, Tracie Simpson, brothers, Travis Simpson and Josh Simpson, and his friend, Justin Smith.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Corinth Baptist Church on Saturday July 20, 2024, from 11:30 am to 1:30 pm. 7929 West NC 10 Hwy, Vale NC 28168
