Charles William Smith 80 of Vale died Monday, June 21, 2021 at his residence. Born September 25th, 1940 he was the son of Richard James Smith and Florence Louise Smith.
Three sons, Charles Smith, Jr. of Vale, NC, Russell Theodore Smith and wife Shanda of Lincolnton and Jason Matthew Smith of Vale; two daughters, Barbara Faye Smith Potter and husband Matt of Denver, NC and Jane Elizabeth Smith Carpenter and husband Shawn of Denver, NC; a brother, Harold Smith of Maiden and four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
His wife of 59 years, Nancy Hartsoe Smith preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be private.
