In loving memory of Christopher Micheal Davidson. Christopher was born on December 25th, 1997 in Hickory, N.C. to Cheryl Sigmon Davidson. Christopher went to be with our Lord and Savior on September 5th, 2024 surrounded by his loving family at 1357 at Levine's Cancer Center, after an acute battle with an aggressive Leukemia. During Chris' diagnoses and the month he spent in the hospital while receiving aggressive treatments, Christopher never lost his faith in GOD, and grew closer to his mother who was with him every step of the way and never left his side. Christopher knew where he was going when he left this world.
Preceded in death by Harold Glen Sigmon Sr (Poppy), Ruby Christine Bradley (Nanny), and Dorothy Rebecca Sigmon (Mamaw-Dot) who are all there waiting for him with open arms at heaven's gates.
Christopher is survived by his mother, Cheryl Sigmon Davidson, two brothers, Matthew and Robert Davidson; his mawmaw, Shirley Ann Sigmon all of the home; and two aunt's Angela (John) Travis which made one of his favorite foods that was his aunt Angie's spaghetti which he still asked for up to his last few days and Wanda (Alan) Pope. One uncle, Harold Glen Sigmon JR (Lisa). Cousins, Ciera (Siri), and Christine Travis who were more like his sisters. Joshua Rector and Sydney Pope. Numerous cousins and second cousins but a few in which he got to help raise: Mason, Cheyenne, and Avery Bowman. Jason Livingston, and Santana Roseboro.
Christopher was employed at Conover Nursing and Rehab where he was an activity assistant. This is where he grew to come out of his shell and learn so much. This is where he gained the hearts of residents in which one of his favorite activities was reading them the Bible and singing to them, and just spending one on one time with them. It did not take very long for the employees to fall in love with Chris and his big heart. There were two very special ladies who stole Christopher's heart Amber Case (second mama), and Rhonda Little. The family would like to send out a special thank you to CNRC for all the prayers, text, calls and donations in this trying time.
In Lieu of flowers family ask to make donations to Conover Nursing and Rehab activities department or Levine's Cancer Center.
The family will receive friends from 1PM-2PM Tuesday, September 10th, 2024 at Freedom Biker Church of Hickory located at 1385 33rd St. SE Conover, NC 28613. The service will start at 2PM with Pastor Phil Goins officiating the service. The burial will follow at Brookford Cemetery in Hickory, NC.
