Christy Whitmore

Christy Dawn Whitmore, 32 died Monday, March 22, 2010 at her residence. Born January 11, 1978, she was the daughter of Carlotta Whitmore Huff of Hickory & Roger Keith Huff. Christy was a beautiful woman, a loving mother, great daughter and generally outstanding sister and person. A son, Christian Whitmore of the home; a step-sister; Lisa Marie Stewart of Huntington, West Virginia; a brother Bryan Keith Huff; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends survive her. Maternal grandparents, Emma Elizabeth & Samuel Whitmore and step-paternal grandmother, Peggy K. Trent preceded her in death. A celebration of Christyâ??s life will be 4:00 p.m. on Friday, March 26, 2010 at Jenkins Funeral Home on Startown Road in Newton with Rev. James Edward Barnes officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel. Burial will follow the service at Fairview Baptist Church on Blackburn Bridge Road.
