Clayton Ray Curry 65, of Maiden died Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at his residence. Born November 19, 1946, he was the son of the late Lell Art Curry & Thelma Alice Skeens. Clayton grew up in Logan County, West Virginia and graduated in 1964 from Chapmanville High School. He was an outdoorsman that loved fishing and dogs. He was a painter, song writer, singer and disk jockey. He was a 32nd degree Mason. He previously worked for NCR of Dayton, Ohio; The F.B.I.; Kellogg?s Company; Salada Tea Company; and Vitex Packaging. Clayton was generally a jack of all trades and a master of all. He most currently owned and operated Patriot Dog Boxes. A daughter, Stacey Nicole Harris and husband Tom of Elizabeth City, NC; a son, Mark Curry of Berryville, Virginia; three grand-children, Taylor Harris, Trenton Harris and Truitt Harris; an uncle, Esmond Curry of Logan, West Virginia; two aunts, Estelle Waymire of Dayton, Ohio and Kathryn Muncy of Atlanta, Georgia;several cousins; and a special friend of three years, Wilma Pennell survive him. Additionally, he is survived by his ex-wife of 30 years, Sandra Scott of Foster, West Virginia. A brother, Ralph Curry preceded him in death.
