Corinne Gertrude Amedio, 84 of Vale died Sunday May 4th, 2014 at her residence following a lengthy illness. Born September 28th, 1929 she was the daughter of the late William and Cora Fournier Gougeon. She earned a Master's Degree in Nursing and held a Pharmacology license in four states retiring from St. Mary's Hospital, West Palm Beach in 2006 after 28 years of service. An avid reader, she loved to quilt and was a shop-a-holic. A daughter, Ann Marie Dickson and husband Robert of Hickory; three sons, David Amedio and wife Shirley of Salem, CT, Mark Amedio and wife Rebecca of Vale, NC and Kevin Amedio and wife Tracy of Vale; a brother, Kenneth Gougeon and wife Gladys of Port St. Lucie, FL, 13 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren survive her. Her husband of 55 years, Michael Thomas Amedio preceded her in death. The family will receive friends from 9-10:00am Saturday at the funeral home. A Funeral Mass will be 10:30am Saturday May 10th, 2014 at St. Joseph's Catholic Church with Father Jim Collins officiating.
