Curtis Tallant Cauthen, Sr., 69 of Crystal River, Florida passed away Friday, May 8th, 2015 in Florida. Formerly of Catawba and Lincoln Counties, he attended Maiden High School. Born May 4th, 1946, he was the son of Lester Cauthen and Junnie Ellen Tallant Cauthen.
Left to cherish his memory is his wife of 44 years, Diane Bryant Cauthen of Maiden, a brother, J.B. Cauthen of San Diego, CA; a sister, Shirley Sigmon of Newton; two sons, Curtis T. Cauthen, Jr. and wife, Brandi of Maiden and Roger Bryan Cauthen and wife Summer of Maiden; four daughters, Tammie Cauthen of Lincolnton and Shanda Cauthen of Lincolnton; 10 grandchildren, Ashley Belky, Aleasha Warrner, Josh Cauthen, Roger Cauthen, Jennifer Cauthen, Jeremy Cauthen Shane Cauthen, Caitlyn Cauthen, Kristan Cauthen and Breanna Cauthen; two great grandchildren, Cory and Gracen Belky and a longtime special friend, Elaine Sweezy of Crystal River, FL and formerly of Newton survive him.
He was preceded him death by a brother, Bobby Cauthen and a sister, Cristian Cauthen Issac.
The funeral will be held at 2:00 pm Saturday, June 6, 2015 at Faith Baptist Church on Coley Fish Pond Road in Newton with Rev. Ralph Belcher officiating.
